Missouri Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) 2022

In 2022, the Washington Rotary Club was happy to have a member of the community attend MO-RYLA. Kate Snider of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School attended the camp from June 26th through June 29th hosted at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. The following are a few images from her time at the academy and was apart of a presentation she made to our club in 2022.

“The content of this academy helped me realize how important it is to have leaders in your community and how important rotary clubs are in a community. It made me realize how much rotary really does internationally. This is important to me because I want to be able to help those in need around our community. It has made me think of all of those I can help and all of those rotary has impacted and made a better life for. The things I learned at this camp can help me with my leadership roles at school. I am in student council and 2 of the main events we do to help the community are meals on wheels and a fall and spring blood drive. …This experience really made an impact on me and taught me so much on how to improve leadership skills and that I can go make an impact on others.”     -Kate Snider
